Vaal rhebuck are unique as an animal and in habitat. The province has a wide variety of species due to the wide variety of terrain and habitat. Not all of it is high-fenced by a long stretch and much of it covers high and rough terrain.
Others will give you a list of animals available, and enjoy it all.

Poochuss,

Congratulations! You have compiled an impressive list of "ticked boxes" here. Naturally any person can take a list of secies and compile an equally long, or in fact a longer, list of "missing species". With a little effort one can then add a column indicating if these are available in the Eastern Cape province of South Africa. That is not what I want to do!

I want you to think back to the actual hunt for each one of these listed species and then be very honest with yourself in evaluating the "uauthenticity of the particular hunt". I know that sometimes the hunting goddess Diana smiles upon a lucky hunter. So if you chanced upon a very good kudu standing broadside on at 50 yards some 5 to 10 minutes into your first kudu (just to mention as an for example named a species) hunt, I wonder if you can be satisfied that you may legally regard yourself as a successful kudu hunter. Sure, you shot one, amd ,aybe even a very good trophy, but have you really hunted and earned (except by being very lucky) that kudu?

Maybe, if you honestly re-eveluate the real autenticity of the "hunt" that you had for each one of the ticked species, you will rather consider another one of one or more of your ticked list?

But these considerations aside, some very good true hunting can be enjoyed in the Eastern Cape for common grey duiker, blue and black wildebeest, Cape grysbok, bushpig, vaalribbok or grey rhebuck, Burchells' zebra and klipspringer to just mention a few that are not classified as "high trophy fee" secies. If you waant more seces listed you can include roan and sable and a few other scarce and high cost species too.

Enjoy the planning and preparation for the hunt. Then really enjoy your hunting!

Good luck

It is all downhill from here based on your list. I loved hunting in the cape.

For sure pursue Vaal Rhebok, Blue & Black Wildebeest, other colors of Springbok, Baboon, Bushpig, Cape Bushbuck, Cape Kudu. Lots of species to pursue.

I hunted with the Rudman's at Blaauwkrantz. Excellent place.

Vaal rhebok are without a question one of the most challenging animals to chase in the Cape. Not only is the habitat a little taxing but the animals themselves prove to be little bastards at times - unmatched eyesight, combined with a bundle of nerves and lungs and legs that seem to never quit.

Seen a few guys cry trying to bag one.

That's an impressive list. Klipspringer and vaal rhebuck are common in the Eastern Cape. Other species to consider are common duiker, blue duiker, caracal, black wildebeest and oribi. All are challenging and fun to hunt. Although not endemic, some excellent red lechwe are hunted in the Eastern Cape.
