I would first like to welcome any & all of my AR family to the DSC Conv. in January.
This will be my 5th year there & now consider it my " family reunion" .
Hopefully I will get to meet & visit with as many as possible that attend.
Look for the guy with the big azz hat selling jewelry, that's not me, it's Hook, but look for him anyway.
I'm short, fat, bald, with a gray beard, should not be hard to spot among the other thousands there that match that same description.
Now, who's coming?

LORD, let my bullets go where my crosshairs show.
Not all who wander are lost.

I'll be there, broadcasting live on Friday at www.highcaliberradio.com. 3rd year for me and the first for my new spouse, if she makes it in country by then. Btw, if you are looking for Hooker, the above description left out the staggering and the moonshine jug permanently affixed to his left hand oh, and the giant hat.

Gents:
If there is a dinner, we must make a plan to ID ourselves so we know who the others are. Or, perhaps we can meet for lunch during the day at the convention.

My wife Ruth & I will be there as first timers We rented a small house downtown ( we like having space plus a kitchen) thru Vacation Rentals By Owner - VRBO. we stayed in a great Reno top floor condo at SCI Reno last winter. VRBO has houses/ condos usually per night cheaper than a Hyatt or Sheraton. We use it most times for our western hunts, they have places in every state. We're looking forward to the AR dinner (thanks, Biebs), and will be in touch

I chose to stay a bit further out, at the Indigo. It's an easy enough walk--about a mile east, at Main & Harwood--to the convention hall, but do I want to? I've never been to Dallas and don't know where the locals avoid.

As it will be dark, or close to dark, at the time you head back to your hotel, I suggest a cab. The morning will not be bad, but downtown Dallas is not unlike any major CBD.
