I unfortunately just googled "pigman".
What a disgusting piece of shit. And we wonder why the hunting industry is in trouble?

"Family, friends and the great outdoors". Waddell has always made it a point to feature both his Dad and his young sons in his shows. While portraying himself as an All-American Dad and son, he was out catting around on his multiple ex-wives. He went so far as to have an affair with his producer's wife (Christy Womack) and featured her on one of his African hunting shows. At first, he came across as a likable hick from Booger Bottom, GA, but now he comes across as an egotistical know-it-all. He has the most annoying habit of constantly shifting his eyes while speaking directly at the camera, which is just plain weird. He hunts at some neat places, but I instantly hit the "MUTE" button on the remote as soon as he opens his mouth.

if you were like me, you wouldn't have to worry about this, I never have and never will watch hunting shows. I have always known that 99.9 percent of them are NOT realistic hunting situations that 99.9 percent will encounter.

Bud:

I was being sarcastic; it seems it is okay to criticize any number of different outdoor personalities on AR, but if one does the same with Boddington he is immediately accused of being "jealous."

Double standard. The purpose of this whole thread was to provoke criticism of an outdoor media segment, yet in another thread the OP takes us to task for doing the same.

How do you know that if you have never watched any?

Well then let's post some new ideas for them here - ideas that they can turn into hunting show cliches.

We had a great conversation about guns, Africa etc. Every year after that, he always says hello, especially at the dinners. Very nice man indeed.

Agree 100%. I have met him a few times at NRA meetings and he's a genuinely nice person. Quite courteous and makes me feel proud to give him the $$ I earn for hobbies.

Back on topic, my most-abhorred hunting show expression is the one that comes right before the shot:

"OK, I'm gonna take him..."
"OK, here we go..."
"OK, I'm taking him..."
"OK, he's good..."
"OK, ready?...:

JUST SHUT UP AND SHOOT THE THING ALREADY! Who has time to narrate that stuff? If I saw a 180-class whitetail, you wouldn't be able to get your fingers in your ears fast enough, let alone time for me to tell you what I was about to do.

This is perfect, I'd go with this.

Just because you have a good looking daughter does not mean she deserves 18 minutes of my time on the hunting channel.

When tacticool/military stuff goes too far, as if hunting were like being "in the sand box". Doing that dishonors BOTH hunting and the military.

The black t-shirt/died black hair/hard rock shite. Pathetic.

(can I get an amen on this one?) When the host tries to preach/challenge or say something meaningful about commitment, what you're supposed to do with your time...anything where they're trying to motivate you as if they had the right to do so.

Hunting shows are killing hunting faster than libtards and gives them all the ammunition they need. Love freedom of speech, hate the outcome when the goal is a fast buck or elitism.

Maybe we could start a hunting club... something that is 2nd for Hunters and 1st for making money for the privileged few... Call it Shysters Club International - SCI - 2nd for Hunters - All for me and my participation trophies I bought for myself.

Good idea. This new organization could grow so much the original SCI (which has bastardized the name, honor, and traditions of true hunting) will be so embarrassed they will move their headquarters from Tucson to Syria and set up an awards system for ISIS.

My ten year old could come up with better material than this trash ... he just wants to go hunting and tell his mates about it.

What I hate most is the habitual use of the word "DEATH" attached to any film or TV hunting show as a title!

All of these expression are seen and heard on the TV hunting extravaganzas on a daily bases, in fact I'm thinking Jim Shockey uses them all in every show. He is a philosopher or drama queen, not sure which!! 2020
