Man, a lot of positive feedback! This is all good to hear.

Wife and I always went when it was in Vegas because we can drive & typically have a free/inexpensive room in LV. And food/drink can be fairly priced if you know where to go.

Since it doesn't sound like SCI will be back in Vegas, next couple years I'll either check out DSC (have really been wanting to) or take the wife for a trip to Nashville.

Everyone have fun, I'm envious!!

You can fly direct, nonstop from Fresno to Dallas. Easy, peasy.

Just spoke to friend who assisted a well known Africa Outfitter.
He said it was the best show in years, everybody was friendly and upbeat and booking hunts!!

The downside, the show support people are gouging exhibitors for support items!! Example extra tables $$$+++, a 10'x20' carpet $2000, $500 @ Las Vegas!! Smart exhibitors are going to Costco, WalMart, HomeDepot and buying items, then just leaving them ...
This is going to cost hunters higher rates in the future with these high costs!!

A 10x10 carpet in Nashville was $251.25 and in Vegas the prior year it was $298. So I don't know why someone paid $2000 for a 10x20 carpet.

Exhibitors have been buying the simpler furniture and other odds and ends from Walmarts, etc. to dispose of after the show going back years, in Dallas, Vegas and Reno.

If you are driving to Nashville and don't have to be in an expensive downtown hotel, do like my wife and I did. We stayed in Brentwood at a Comfort Inn and Suites for $75 per night including breakfast and good wifi. It wasn't fancy but it was quiet and the beds were comfortable.

We took US 31 directly from Brentwood to the Music City Center. Franklin Road became 8th Ave and went right beside it. It was a 15-20 minutes drive without the horrible Interstate Hwy traffic.

There are a ton of other hotels around Brentwood with plenty of nearby restaurants. I might not chose this if I had to depend upon Uber or Lyft but for someone who is driving, it worked very well for my wife and myself.

That has become the norm for First Class.. nothing really to do with Nashville.. I paid $1100 from Cleveland to Tucson First class in Jan, it middle of the week and was not a direct flight...

First class / Business air travel is expensive and will probably stay that way..

One can always fly back of the bus... (not me!)

" IF YOU DON'T TRAVEL FIRST CLASS YOUR KIDS OR HEIRS WILL!!"

First Class has become ridiculous since COVID!! I think everyone, airlines, hotels, restaurants and rental car agencies are on a "Catch Up" pricing mode!! We cancelled a very expensive, paid in full cruise from Sydney, Australia to Vancouver BC because the one way fare/2 from SEA-LAX- SYD was $12,000... about $500/hour, DELTA ONE... and that was least cost first!! There were NO SEATS BOOKED, where Biz and steerage almost full!!

IF WE PAY IT, WE VALIDATE IT!!... I am actually saying to some restaurants "your prices are offensive, and I won't be back!!"... or walk out!! A great NY DELI style sandwich in upscale Bellevue,.WA... $34.95 last week, favorite place... I don't remember $20 in the past!!

Now hunts going that way.... $5000 in Tz for Buff TF... Zim too!!

Glad I'm old!!
