I have about three weeks before I leave on the 25th of this month for the Selous. Would anyone like me to start a thread that I'd continue through the preparation/anticipation stage and (assuming I can disipline myself to keep a log) continue it through the safari and return.

I'd guess that it would have about eight installments? I've having such a good time getting ready that I'm about to pop!

JudgeG ... just counting time 'til I am again finding balm in Gilead chilled out somewhere in the Selous.

Judge, I think that's just the thing I need to help me get over my P.S.D. Go for it, and good luck on your hunt.

Why not, you may as well go ahead with it.

I'm with you Mike, PSD this year was.......
as bad as I have ever had it. We got home 6 weeks ago, and it is now, just "starting" to go into remission.

Judge... bring on the info, we need it.

Judge G

First things first. What is the battery? What sort of pre-hunt preparation? What innoculations are you getting and what prescriptions will you carry with you? What anti-malarial, etc? What carrier is flying you?

I've gone ahead and started. Just ignore if you're tired of my drivel... if that's how you spell "drivel".

Judge G, I vote in favor of your project. I will read every word.
As a friend of mine used to say, "You done the easy part. You talked about it." I anxiously await your diary.

Excellent thought JudgeG.The sharing of fun is part and parcel of the enjoyment of a hunting trip.
We are - for the most- social animals - in moderation that Smiler,
so sharing with like minded folks and feeling to be within such a group gives us as much enjoyment as doing it.
All of us like to spend more time doing what we like - alas time and money restricts ud.
SO the sharing of experiences stretches the mileage

Heck! I’d buy a book of short stories on the preparations, travel, and antics while on safari if the members of this forum would get together and write it!

Go ahead Judge, make my desire to go back worse. Big Grin
