Many AR members have purchased hunting books and DVD's from Bob Harper of Outdoor Visions.
Bob is one of the founding members and past president of the Dallas Safari Club.
Bob and Betty lost their only son Rob late Thurs. due to a blood clot that broke loose from a Jan. broken leg skiing accident in Colorado.
Hug your kids one more time now. You never know.

You can borrow money but you can not borrow time. Go hunting with your family.

Bob is an old friend I have been buying books and videos from for 20 years and previously was a banker like me. We shared that bond and had a great relationship, always seeking each other out at the different shows. I am saddened by his son's passing... I think they shared a family safari a few years back and he was so happy about sharing that trip with everyone. Wishing him comfort and peace during this difficult time.

On the plains of hesitation lie the bleached bones of ten thousand, who on the dawn of victory lay down their weary heads resting, and there resting, died.

If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue,
Or walk with Kings - nor lose the common touch...
Yours is the Earth and everything that's in it,
And - which is more - you'll be a Man, my son!

May God give them strength...

Correct bullet placement, combined with the required depth of bullet penetration, results in an anchored animal...

Bob is one of the nicest gentlemen that I have met and one reason that the DSC is what it is today. His reach and influence extend far beyond the club. Condolences to Bob and Betty for their tragic loss.

I don't know them but still. That's gotta be tough, a parent never expects to outlive their children. My condolences and prayers.
