Most of these countries understand that there ability to import live animals and animal parts for "medicine" and trinkets is coming to an end (or will be increasingly difficult). So the live exports are to set up breading stocks for these animals. I've seen photos of vast breeding operations in China/Vietnam. Good luck trying to regulate anything inside these countries. | |||

Guys, I think it's time we admit the truth. We've seen how effective banning lion hunting is on increasing lion populations. Kenya only had 20,000 lions when they banned lion hunting in '73, and through careful management they have seen the population explode to around 2,000. This same formula can work all across Africa if we give it a chance. If we will just be patient, and allow the best and brightest Kenya has to offer do their work, we'll REALLY be amazed. | |||
