Has anyone hunted Cape Buffalo in the Caprivi Strip with Vaghan Classic Safaris? I want to book an African Hunt in 2010 to hunt Buffalo. From what I have read on this board, Vaghan Fulton has a good reputation. I also like the fact that Namibia is pretty stable.

Also, what is a PAC hunt that people hear refer too? What are the particulars on this?

Any info that you guys can provide would be greatly appreciated.

Contact Wendell Reich, he's the go-to guy for Vaungh. I met Vaughn this year in Dallas at Wendell's booth and he's a stand up guy besides having the reputation of being a excellent PH. He produces some fantastic trophies for his hunters.
PAC is Problem Animal Control permits. When Elephants for example start raiding crops, damaging property or killing people, the local authorities will issue a PAC permit. Usually a non-exportable animal but the price is right.
Good hunting, David

"Peace is that brief glorious moment in history when everybody stands around reloading" - Thomas Jefferson

Every morning the Zebra wakes up knowing it must outrun the fastest Lion if it wants to stay alive. Every morning the Lion wakes up knowing it must outrun the slowest Zebra or it will starve. It makes no difference if you are a Zebra or a Lion; when the Sun comes up in Africa, you must wake up running......

"If you're being chased by a Lion, you don't have to be faster than the Lion, you just have to be faster than the person next to you."

My taxidermist's son hunted with him a year or two ago and had nothing but good to say. He ended up with a beautiful 40" bull.

Rhyme of the Sheep Hunter
May fordings never be too deep, And alders not too thick; May rock slides never be too steep And ridges not too slick.
And may your bullets shoot as swell As Fred Bear's arrow's flew; And may your nose work just as well As Jack O'Connor's too.
May winds be never at your tail When stalking down the steep; May bears be never on your trail When packing out your sheep.
May the hundred pounds upon you Not make you break or trip; And may the plane in which you flew Await you at the strip.
