I have finaly got confirmation of the dates for the Aim Outdoor show. It will be from the 4th to the 6th of May 2008. Depending on the amount of hunters we will have two hunts, one before the show and one after the show. Both groups will visit the show on the Saturday and we will have an AR party on the Saturday evening. We will try to have some VIP guests at the party. I am thinking of people like Kevin Robinson. Pierre vd Walt, the author of Bigbore reloading data will definately be there. Both are members of AR.

The prices are very good and it is only for AR members.

The hunt will be organised by Steve Robinson and myself.

The hunt is organised as a service to the members of AR and the owners of the site are not involved in it at all. We do have Saeed's blessing to advertise the hunt.

Here is a link to the original post AR HUNT

You can contact us now for bookings. We will only ask for deposits after October 2007

Steve will spend the next few months in Tanzania where he can be contacted via email. You are welcome to contact me via email or pm. I will not be available from the 1st to the 9th of July 2007, I will be hunting with the family.

Jaco, who is the author of "Bigboar reloading data"? Or is it perhaps 'Bigbore reloading data' - just a typo?

The book is written by Pierre Van Der Walt (who also organises the show) and it's well worth buying if you're a reloader or a big bore fan......

Sorry for the typo, it is not a big pig animal, it is big rifles.

It's a fabulous place and especially good for non hunting observers as there are so many activities for them.

Incidentally, it's also home to one of the first Elephant herds to be translocated from the KNP.

How about Chris Bekker, alias AR banned Truvelloshooter alias new AR member Warrior?
Isn't he a so-called expert on guns, bullets and ballistics?

I think quite a number of SA AR members would like to meet him personally if only it is to tell him a few things straight to his face!

Wink,
I will do so. It can only be fun to hunt with you again. I guess a Njala will be high on the list.

Guys,

This change of date has caused a problem for me as I already have a hunt booked on those dates, so I'll very regretfully not be able to attend. However as most of you know Jaco is a real professional in what he does and I know you'll be very well looked after and you'll have a great hunt.

Although I won't be there myself, I'll be happy to do what I can to help anyone who is attending the hunts.

And the Aim Outdoor Show is from 4 to 6 May.

Só, 10day hunt before and after Aim Show dates are going to leave the hunters totally or partially without a PH.

Please clarify this a bit.

I think you've misread something somewhere bwana.

Jaco is going hunting next week and will be out of touch for a week..... however, he will be arranging the hunt and will also be in attendance for the hunt. As will other PHs.

The only one who won't be in attendance for the hunt is me and that's because of a previous booking.

Next week is 1 to 7 July 2007 - May 2007 is somewhere way back in the past!
Só, if Jaco writes

at this point in time (almost end June 2007), one immediately thinks of May 2008, or don't you?

With all due respect, I might have misread something, but you have got your time lines tangled!

Anyhow, you now mentioned other PH's who will stand in for both you and Jaco, although it was not said earlier.
Was still confusing.

I'll make it simple. Wink

Jaco and other PHs will be in attendance for the hunt, I will not.

Springtrap,
It was a typing error on my side. Sorry I did rectify it.

I will not organise a hunt for clients without me being present all time during the hunt. I also personally meet the clients on the airport and personally see them off. Due to the change of the dates Steve can unfortuneately not attend as he have bookings in that period.

The hunt is still on and at the same venue.

Thanks Jaco, it's the simple little things that make something work!

To all interested AR members -
This is one of South Africa's most wonderful hunting venues you can think of - don't miss it.

This is merely a gratuitous bump by me.

I personally doubt I will attend but would like to see this thing blossom. I have met a couple other members of this forum and it was a positive experience. I would have liked to have met Jaco when I was in RSA but the group I was with and schedule I was on left no time for pleasantries. The half hearted attempt I made to make that happen unfortunately didn't work out.

I am back from my family meat hunt. I will report later on it when I have the photos.

Just a request to all that are interested in the hunt, It is easier for me to reply via email, I cannot send the same pm to more than 1 person. With emails I can keep everybody that are interested in the hunt up to date.

To TheBigGuy, one day we will meet, sometimes sooner than later.

The correct wording is" Ek sal jou graag wil ontmoet". I did understand what you said to me and I am very impresed with your attempt. clap
