Dear All,

I am going to put these large oil sketchs into print probably 30x20 inches.

Chatting with Roland of Trophy Prints as to best present it and he suggests canvas print and a limited edition. This images will only be available to the USA due to the cost of shipping internationally.

These paintings need more work but not much

Hi Carl,

Possibly we can move the image around for print but need to secure the limited edition

I've seen a couple of Andrew's pieces in his home years ago...always liked the uniqueness of the art. Good stuff my friend!

I really like the Lion I bought through the auction for Stu and would be interested in one of the buffalo if you decide to do this.

Got a quota that a 30x20 inch large metal plate print delivered to the States for $325. I would add $150 on top as my profit = $475

Great Rick and thanks for your support. I just need to get a quality photo taken and then will be able to email you a proof. Confirm you are in the States?

The painting is more vibrant that this photo taken on my phone.

Working up another image. I will correct it tomorrow. Looks a bit boss-eyed and that's the beauty of paint - you can add and take away.

DSC is interested in selling the prints and auctioning off the originals. Thanks to Richard Cheatam.

fairgame,

Your painting

is bullshit pseudo impressionism, an unfinished sketch, plumb lazy.
Are you begging for idiot patrons here?

I can do better in my sleep, with a paint brush tied to my dick, a few brush strokes every ninety minutes,
masterpiece (compared to yours) by morning.

Strive to paint more like Kuhnert. Just a little detail and background, please.
This is cape buffalo impressionism:

Note these are sketches simply for a larger work. I have started painting again after a 20-year break so yes I am a bit rusty but I need to keep my hunting grounds afloat any which way I can. And to be honest this is the only negative comment I have ever received. Note my previous prints earned a disabled PH a $40,000 income without profit to me. However, art is in the eye of the beholder and I acknowledge your disdain as much I disdain your post that describes the attributes of the .458 WM

No way I could ever match a master like Kuhnert and he will never be equaled. Then again his originals fetch hundreds of thousands of dollars.

I am simply starting to paint again and to date am just working some oil sketches for a larger work. This is a process

If however, you claim to have some better dick paintings that are worthy of applause then please feel free to post them here.

Last question - do you own a Kuhnert original?

What ? No punctuation mark at the end of that sentence ?
That is as sloppy as your oil sketches done with finger paints.

You are right and much of my work has my fingerprint. If do not like it so be it and invest in a Kuhnert.

A simple Kuhnert sketch will cost you more than your entire gun collection.

I studied art for a while.

Realism: To me there is no room for a painting to to not look like a photo. RIP, I don't think yours looks like a photo. Your background is flat, your buffalo is kind of stylized, and it looks like the buffalo isn't in the image but on top of it.

This is my friend Nina Stankus, one of the best engravers and artist I have ever seen. She is a master at realism.

Notice the dog photo and her sketch next to it.

Some other artist I found for photo realism paintings.

Impressionism: This is where the interpretation of the image is up to the artist.

Like these:

This is what Baldry's art is, actually also Ann's water color of the pronghorn is also impressionism.

What i love about painting as opposed to picture is that you get much much more sense of drama and the artist. In this you can feel that lion looking into soul of the painter and demanding money with menaces. I dare say there are plenty of such moments going through the mind and hand of the artist.

My old art teacher used to say "if you can paint a photo and have it look like a photo it is art."

"If you can't paint a photo and have it look like a photo and you are trying to call yourself an artist, you are a fool".

I can not paint like Baldry, his impressionism has more photographic realism than my best realism painting ever would. So I don't paint.

I always thought pissing on another man's work was poor form.

If you want to piss on it, buy it first.

Wilhelm "Lion" Kuhnert was a realist who was not too much influenced by impressionism.

Are we to believe that art is like an adult diaper ?
One must buy it before one urinates on it ?
That is ludicrous.
This old saying comes to mind:
"Don't piss down my back and tell me it is raining."

Andrew, I think your work is fantastic. I will likely purchase a print and would very much like to chase buffalo with you when this Corona shit is behind us. I don't know much about art at all, but I know what I like. I also know what I don't like and that is someone shitting all over someone else for no reason at all. It amazes me that with a keyboard for a voice, people will act like complete A-holes when they would not have that face to face conversation. I respect all that carry themselves like gentlemen on this forum and type as they would speak in person.
