I've been wanting to ask this of one of you blokes for quite some time:
WHO IS ANN NANCE, AND HOW DO I GET TO KNOW HER BETTER?!!! thumb

I'm old, and I'm married, but my wife would understand.

For those of you who have no idea what I'm asking about, look at the photo gallery in the 2006, Issue Number 2 edition of African Hunter magazine.

Shangaan was her PH.

Sorry forgot to mention that they also have two very large dogs so the sneeky navy seal approach on knees and elbows through the garden would not be recommended. shame

In '04, I stood on the road that devides Senuko and ARDA (I was hunting ARDA with Jumbo Moore)and begged my PH to take me over to your Safari Lodge so I could get some pictures to show my wife. He wouldn't do it. I don't know if he was more afraid that you guys would be unhappy of the intrusion, or of that fact that Jumbo would have shot him for showing a client the competition.

In any case, had I known that there was a chance that Ann would have been there, I'd have put the muzzle of my .404 in the back of his ear and said "drive"!

By the way, if you have a bunch of pictures detailing the lodge and the rooms (other than those on your website), I could sure use them to help convince a couple of frineds that Senuko is where we need to go with our wives on our next safari.

And if Ann happens to be lounging in the hot tub in any of them, that's ok to. Big Grin

Now you've done it, copiousbigbores; I won't be able to sleep for a week!

I've always heard you can go for looks, or go for one who'll hunt with you. For some bloke to find both in one package is just not FAIR!!! Dammit.

GAHUNTER you are too sweet. Take your wife to Senuko with Shangaan Hunters. It is an amazing place. She will love it. Fantastic accomodations, great food and outstanding service. Not to mention the game. My husband and I are going back in 2008 for my first buffalo hunt archer

I have hunted with Shangaan twice from the Senuko Lodge, it definitely is a top destination. In this AFrican Hunter article are some photos of the accomodations (scroll down).

Hi Ann,

Welcome to the forum!

Look, I'm an old coot who has shared camp fires with hunters, both male and female, in about 12 countries and several dozen American states. Never, in all that time, have I been so fortunate as to associate with a hunter that comes even close to making hunting togs look as good as you do. AND, BTW, those are some mighty nice trophies you have taken there.

Having hunted in the Save in 2004, I am well aware of the game potential there.

Thanks for the post, and, yes, I am planning on taking my wife to Senuko just as soon as I can arrange it.

GAHUNTER,
Thanks for the welcome and the comment about my trophies Wink

fivebigbores,
Don't blame Glenn about the warthog. I saw him the first day of hunting but did not get a shot at him. I refused to shoot any other hogs during my 10 day hunt, torturing Glenn to no end. However, that hog showed up again mid morning the last day and I got lucky.

Every morning the Zebra wakes up knowing it must outrun the fastest Lion if it wants to stay alive. Every morning the Lion wakes up knowing it must outrun the slowest Zebra or it will starve. It makes no difference if you are a Zebra or a Lion; when the Sun comes up in Africa, you must wake up running......
