I didn't realize that saying my girlfriend RENTED Lambo for 2 days as part of my Christmas present was bragging. I apologize.

BiebsLarry, obviously no apology needed.

MARK H. YOUNGI thought the show was great and absolutely love having it in Vegas. The exhibitors I spoke to all where very happy about the SCI show being in Vegas through 2020. Vegas is more expensive as far as food goes but in my expereince the food is better than Reno or Dallas particularly at the show.
I like DSC and the people are always very friendly. I also recommend the Dallas show to many people as it is overall less expensive than SCI for the attendees. Having said that though I think the SCI show when held in Vegas is just a head above everything out there.

When I was involved with SCI several years ago, I was never more unimpressed with a bunch of arrogant, egomaniacal, "look at me", nose in the air, stuffed shirt, prima donnas in my life. SCI and these types are a joke.
I"ll take the oilfield type over the SCI type any day of the week.
How were you involved in SCI?
I saw lots of 'oilfield types' wandering around the Convention last week.... they were doin' OK.

Karl you get Larry a card table & a chair & I'll bring a half dozen sharpies & Larry can man it selling them for $2 each & we'll see if he wants to do it again the next year.
Hey Larry, it was your idea.

Larry Sellersjg - Thanks for YOUR definition of "SCI type". Funny, I don't know anyone personally that belongs to SCI that displays or have ANY of those traits. Must be running with a different crowd than you?

Now that you mentioned it, how about YOUR definition of "oilfield type" while you are on a roll?

Promise to stay on topic from now on.

Larry SellersMy thought was that most attendees would likely have the skill to fill them out themselves. Maybe I was wrong? For those needing help writing their own name, I would be glad to help out.

bwana cecilI got to thinning about this.
Somewhere between 30 & 40 thousand rednecks for 4 days at $2 a piece for a 5 cent name tag, I thinn I want the card table & chair.
Now Karl if you can just make name tags mandatory I'll GIVE both you & Rebecca one each & throw in a couple of those delicious gourmet hot dogs at the food court to boot.
Now all I need to do is recruit some of the raffle ticket girls to help me.

Neil DuckworthWe found the show to be very good, ten times better than Reno last year . Sales went really well, buff hunts a little slower to move than normal though. We still have a few left for this year if anyone looking ,prices negotiable. Also a few sable left in Mozambique.
Thanks SCI for a great set up for operators and clients alike.

Hey Larry, it was your idea.
fantastic idea! of course after he writes about the 2,385th name, he may need a little physical therapy. or DSC could imply charge about $500 to attend for 4 days( God help you if you took your family) and furnish a tag for "free"

As an FYI for others thinking they want to do this next year, it is illegal to land a helicopter inside the confines of Grand Canyon National Park. Hualapai and Havasupai tribes own land on parts of canyon, so I assume you landed on one or the other.
I am backpacking there the weekend after next. So glad they raised the minimum altitude required for tourist helicopters...it was getting pretty annoying listening to them constantly fly overhead.

Larry Sellersjd- So I guess you are assuming that 2,384 plus yourself will be incapable of writing their OWN name and they will need my help. If you read the post I volunteered to only help those who were without that capability. I'll put you down as one who needs that help and thanks for letting me know you will need it in advance.
