Got a nice present in the mail for our 41st wedding anniversary yesterday. Our import permits for our Leopards came from USF&W.

Kind of interesting that they came in the came manilla envelope when the applications were sent separately. Couldn't be an example of the government actually trying to save resources. Big Grin

Cheers
Jim & Joyce

No way! More probably an example of ineptitude....as, due to poor planning, they ran out of envelopes and HAD to use the same one.

You think?

Our permits came with a separate letter stating that the permit holder must write in their own words date of hunt, size (length and weight) and sex of animal taken, description of abundance of wildlife, map of area, description of management and development activities and anti poaching activities.

Everyone of these requests except the length and weight of the cats and a map were provided when we applied including links to websites and facebook pages for the Luwire anti-poaching units.

I wonder if this accompanying letter is boiler plate and they didn't bother to read what we already provided?

I will be discussing this with Well's Worldwide.

Cheers
Jim (and Joyce)

This year was the quickest I ever received my CITES & my trophy leopard.

I took it in April 2015, got my CITES when I returned & the trophies arrived

in the US in Sept, 2015. Thanks to Zambezi Hunters for the quick work!
