I'm not exactly sure what the law is now ...  When I fly to Africa I make sure that I bypass the U.S. (I'm a Canadian) because I used to have to get a permit from the ATF.. I'm heading to Oz in July and will be changing planes (sigh) in good ol' L.A. Do I have to get that permit ? Or has anything changed there in the last couple of years???  Thanks, amigos.  | ||

I was under the impression that we can't take our guns "through" the US at all, not even as checked baggage. After all most Canadian Hunters would be likely terrorists. I woudl call one of the travel agancies that specialize in Hunters like Gracy's. | |||

apply for that permit right now scruffy.it can take up to 3 months to get one. | |||
