An interesting cave on one of Mike Kibble's concessions.

Mr Spots was not in attendance that day, but if you look carefully at the second pic you will notice the skull of a sub adult giraffe!

I would bet there is evidence of neo-lithic man buried in the cave floor. I would love to excavate that cave and see how far back history went. Maybe some cats from 10,000-30,000 years ago. America once had a plains lion that was larger than todays African lion and the Saber-tooth Cat. I have a Saber-tooth Cat skull that measures 14" long X 8" wide ( I guess that would give an SCI score of 22 Smiler ) Cool pics! LDK

LDK and Mike,

The cave went down to crawl height for quite a way and then opens into a larger cavern.

There hasn't been a wild population of giraffe in that part on Namibia for over a hundred years, according to Mike Kibble.

The only graffiti on the walls was from a German Schutztruppen of the 1890's.......

Love to see that Saber Tooths skull of yours thumb

I'll see if I can get a pic of it and post it ASAP guys. I've found a few simple scrapers in RSA and Zim, but no darts or knives. It would be a trip to be a part of an archeological dig in that cave. As much as we think we know about prehistoric man and fauna, it seems new theories and finds are made every year. Thanks for posting Blair. Very interesting pics. LDK

Blair,

You should have unrolled your sleeping bag in there and waited for the tenant to return.
