Jeff W. mentioned Gecko Gardens in Zim as a quality stay, and it is. But if your ever going to be around Vic Falls, a night at the Stanley and Livingstone with the wife is a must. No flies on those guys, and while having your early morning coffee on your private Ronduval (spelling) patio, your apt to be viewing the Ele's, Buffalo, Zebra and all the other wildlife that gather at the nearby water hole. If any of you are planning on marriage within the next year or two, book the Bridal Suite. It has its own Jacuzzi on the fenced back deck. All bathroom fixtures are gold: flat screen TV (I know, we're supposed to be in the "jungle") cable connection, wine cellar etc. This place is about as 5 Star as it gets in the bush. Dining room seats a maximum of 24, so this ain't Disneyland and the crowds are at Vic Falls. They will pick you up at Vic Falls airport. David and Steve: A compromise! Coming, stay at Stanley and Livingstone and on the way out of the bush... the Vic Falls Hotel for a couple on nights and the amazing buffet. Both are great.. better than The Boma, IMHO. But dinner at the Boma is fun, too. Heck, stay at all three! JudgeG ... just counting time 'til I am again finding balm in Gilead chilled out somewhere in the Selous. | |||

I did have an Ostrich steak at Vic Falls. Reminded me of duck. I know some of you probably hate duck but prepared and cooked properly, it is fine. So was the Ostrich steak.
