Ivan Carter's recent post about the rains in Zimbabwe was certainly useful.

I strongly recommend avoidance of "The Zambezi Safari & Travel Co., Ltd." and "Pisces Sportfishing-Cabo San Lucas"

Crazy Horse,

and, pray tell us, what that post added to the quality of your life?

Rich

I find it interesting that no one here or anywhere else had the balls to expose Capstick until several years after he was dead. Not one person on a planet of over Six Billion people. Strange isn't it, how we are much better at calling someone out after they have been dead a few, or many years?

In all honesty, it proved to me, beyond the shadow of a doubt, that people who are afraid to live life on their terms can find reasons, no matter how petty or fabricated, to be jealous or envious of someone that does live life on their own terms.

Whether it is out of a lack of spine/guts/testicles, it does not matter, some individuals are so afraid to try and live life on their terms, instead of the terms dictated by those around them, that when they meet such "Free Spirits", they find or manufacture every thing they can come up with to discredit or hate such individuals.

I hope that came across as I meant it, Capstick was not a God or anything, but he did inspire many people to take the steps and go to Africa to hunt, along with Ruark and others, all of whom have their detractors.

Hope that all makes some sense to someone.

I wouldn't say it was my contribution that was important as much as the conversation that stemmed from my thread that makes this a good one.

Rhyme of the Sheep Hunter
May fordings never be too deep, And alders not too thick; May rock slides never be too steep And ridges not too slick.
And may your bullets shoot as swell As Fred Bear's arrow's flew; And may your nose work just as well As Jack O'Connor's too.
May winds be never at your tail When stalking down the steep; May bears be never on your trail When packing out your sheep.
May the hundred pounds upon you Not make you break or trip; And may the plane in which you flew Await you at the strip.

This is actually tough because there are so many great posts. A recent one that comes to mind is shameful (505 gibbs) and I enjoy the news pieces that Kathi posts. Lot of good tips and info.
