I wonder if #5 is Princess Alice? I am not sure if she hunted but she was on several safaris in Kenya in the good old days. The man in the middle in #4 could be Bror Blixen, a guess based on his length (and the context) more than anything else... ----------------------- A man can never have too much red wine, too many books, or too much ammunition. - R. Beats me. 35) it isn't Charles Newton is it? 36) Nickudu himself! A really interesting topic, more of this, please!

My guess is that # 15 is Pauline Hemingway, Ernest's second wife. Edited: Number 18 looks a bit like his first wife, Hadley Hemingway, but I am not sure if she ever was in Africa (at least not with him). Nickudu, I am the last person who should be doing this, I only spend time on it because I have so booring stuff to deal with IRL right now (proof-reading). Now I gladly leave this to those who have read the right books. Thanks for the entertainment! Nick, these are TOUGH! But I do know that #29 is Count de Yebes and his world record giant sable, somewhere around 65", IIRC. What an animal! Mike Wilderness is my cathedral, and hunting is my prayer.

That Sable in #29 is unbelievable! My eyes popped out so far they hit my computer screen when the pic came up. Wow
