Clift,

Talk to Tim Farren. He posts on here as Tim416

Tim works with the operators of Matetsi One and is a good guy.

I am considering Matetsi 1 or 5 for Sable next year if my Savuli hunt is a no go. The camp at Matetsi 1 is supposed to be very nice and since I will have my bride with me that is a major consideration and being close to Vic Falls is a plus.

Unit one was good for me. Forty-three incher with HHK. Seems like there were lots of sable to choose from. Very nice camp too!

HHK now has Unit 3. I was there in June for three days (not hunting) and saw dozens of sable and a couple of shootable bulls without even trying. I was just riding to bait sites with a P.H. to replenish and saw them from the roads.

In 2011, I hunted Matetsi 3 for 10 days (tuskless elephant and leopard) and we saw sable almost every day.

Also, P.M. sent with additional information.

JudgeG ... just counting time 'til I am again finding balm in Gilead chilled out somewhere in the Selous.

Lukwati, in Western Tanzania. Danny McCallums area. PH was Gerard Miller and he knows the area extremely well and its a huge concession.
I shot a 45 inch mature sable there and saw 3 more that were as big or bigger later in the safari.
