Jim, on a side note, did you have any mopane fly/tsetse fly problems on your Zambia hunt? | |||

OIn my 2 trips, I have had minimal problems with them. I have heard some areas to the west of us are as bad as anywhere in Africa. I take a headnet for the mopane flies as Ivan said. They can really be a pain during lunch, and we have been on a few stalks where they were miserable. For the most part, the insects have not been much of an issue for us. There were some Tsetse's but not overwhelming. I did reat to their bite more there than on a previous late season trip to Zambia for some reason. Has one bite on my arm that didn't settle down until I used a high dose steroid cream for almost a month.
