Definitely You are a mischivious temptator. This Nyala is the epitome of any hunter expectations.
It's my ultimate goal and I'll keep on straining to achieve a hunt with You after this mythic royal game.
Thanks for sharing, indeed

Current Roland Ward (following the curve of the horn) is 39.5" on the longest horn. Taken in 1984. Exceptional, but we need Don King (boxing thug with the Flo-bee haircut) to come up with such a grand title for this king of the mountain! Outstanding trophy Rich. Looks like the hunter is wearing snake guards, smart man.

Wow, exceptional! I agree that it is great to see huge bulls still coming out of Ethiopia! Obviously excellent management of the resource!

Egad ... a TOAD indeed!

Hope the hunter realized the significance during the hunt. Knowing it and putting it in the salt would have been a world-classed rush!

Rich,

Who was the PH, Jason or Nassos? Is this the biggest Mt. Nyala ERVS has taken?

Nassos was the PH. The biggest ERVS has ever taken is the one almostacowboy referred to in this thread it was taken by Nassos himself in Sept. of 1984. He called me as soon as he got back to Addis Ababa....sort of excited. It was taken in the Amhar Mountains above the Munessa Forest. Yes, Kathi, that's where Richard is going. The # 1 Menelik's bushbuck comes from the same area. The SCI score for that 1984 Mt Nyala is 117. The next closest in the current book is 102 5/8. In 2006 we had a German client take a 41" scoring 101 2/8 that isn't in the current book. In 2005 we had an Italian client take one scoring 102 7/8 which isn't in there yet either. I know of at least one more 41" taken by another outfitter that wasn't entered. The green score on the one pictured here is 102 plus or minus aa eighth inch.
