safari-lawyerElephant Experts . . .
All you elephant hunting experts:
Do I need a CITES import permit to bring tusks back from Zim?
The permit application says that I do not for a Zim, RSA, Nam, or Bots ellie, but what say the collective voices of experience?
Thanks,

Greg BrownleeWill,
You only need the CITES import permit for elephant from Tanzania (for the countries that US citizens can bring ivory home from). You will need the CITES export permit, but that's done on their end.
Will, No. Only need the Zim export permit.

Well, modesty forbade me replying. I have read a lot of excellent threads on AR very carefully!

Mich, Please... Fizz Stewart cannot be concerned with such trivial details, he has people to handle this sort of thing. His focus is on the Art of Elephant Hunting.

nopride2I don't claim to be an expert. In 2008 my tusks came in with no paperwork on my part.
