I have been looking for a replacement for what was once the wonderful Superior Ammunition. After several misses I found Hendershot's.

Three recently purchased boxes of .375 H&H, 270 grn. TSX shoot at the same tight grouping as a box purchased one year ago.

Four bullets from four different boxes...same impact point. Remarkable. Accurate and consistent. Hallelujah. If looking for custom ammo this is the place.

I bought some .404 Dakota from Hendershot's with two different bullets and it was excellent.

I continue to use Lonnie at Superior Ammo and have had great service and accuracy. Does 30-378 for me and we found a regulating load for my .577.

I go to Safari arms in NY. They were better than Superior in my opinion.

I agree. I have been extraordinarily happy with that John has loaded for me.

I used to buy some things from Superior. After the sale, I bought some target loads for my 500 NE. The price more than doubled. I was done.

Just curious why you guys don't reload your own. I am as busy as anyone, but I wouldn't dream of not rolling my own.

I use Hendershot's for my 404 Jeff and have been pleased. Having said that, I just purchased a loading bench. Already have dies for the 404 and am looking for a press and other tools to give reloading a go.

You beat me to it! I can't understand why anyone who shoots a lot of different rifles doesn't hand load their ammo, especially if they shoot double rifles. Once I find a load that shoots in a particular rifle I try to load 100 rounds with the same load and powder lot #. The only factory ammo I use is when I simply am out of ammo, and don't have the time to load any!

Additionally, to get the best from a double rifle, there is only one way to get perfect regulation and that is to work up a load the shoots to the regulation and then build a supply of that load!

You don't fully understand your rifles, unless you feed them yourself Wink
