You have come from far away for me. I do not understand why. I am a peaceful soul. I live in the tall grass, in the thick jess, in the interpretable swamps. I spend most of my day just eating the grasses. But, you have come to disturb my peace. Like Leo, you want to kill me.
I will warn you that if you you disturb me to much that my peaceful nature will change. If you hurt me with the thunderstick you carry I will no longer be peaceful.
I warn you, that while I am big and black, I can hide in the tall grass, in the bushes where you will not see me until it is to late for you. If you hurt me, I will take my vengeance, I will hurt you. Much worse than you did to me. Using my horns, I will throw you into the trees, I will pound your frail body into the ground with my hoofs. You will not see me come for you. I will hide and trap you to take my vengeance.
Are you still so sure you want to come for me? I am waiting, I will come for you

That is exactly WHY I want to come to meet you once more before I die! If you win more power to you, as I'm at the end of my trail anyway, and I can think of no better end for hunter of cape buffalo.

"Peace is that brief glorious moment in history when everybody stands around reloading" - Thomas Jefferson

Every morning the Zebra wakes up knowing it must outrun the fastest Lion if it wants to stay alive. Every morning the Lion wakes up knowing it must outrun the slowest Zebra or it will starve. It makes no difference if you are a Zebra or a Lion; when the Sun comes up in Africa, you must wake up running......

"If you're being chased by a Lion, you don't have to be faster than the Lion, you just have to be faster than the person next to you."

I've not only met him but know him! The fact is what he experienced is NOT being killed by a buffalo, but suffering the wounds and lived, prolonging the pain.

The Viking's only honorable death is by the sword of an opponent in battle! A far better death, I think, than rotting away with cancer, a problem with which I have some experience.

None the less, nobody wants to die, but IMO the inevitable is best done while doing something you love doing, me thinks! There is one way that I can think of that might be a little more pleasurable however! Big Grin
