As some of you know, I lost a lot in the recent flooding in Tennessee. One of the personal items was my Cannon Safe. The interior walls and locking mechanism was ruined. I just got off the phone with Cannon and they are building me a new safe and shipping it to me free of charge. I'm honestly shocked that someone really makes their lifetime guarantee a reality. Same is true with Leupold optics. My spotting scope had water damage and they told me to send it in and they would take care of it. They also gave me the phone number for Iron Sights Inc., in Tulsa, OK. I have an original Redfield Accu-trac scope that had never been mounted. It still had the stickers on it. Water got into the objective lenses and they are going to rebuild the scope and return it for $80. What a good day it's been. Now we have rain returning tonight...damn.

"Peace is that brief glorious moment in history when everybody stands around reloading" - Thomas Jefferson

Every morning the Zebra wakes up knowing it must outrun the fastest Lion if it wants to stay alive. Every morning the Lion wakes up knowing it must outrun the slowest Zebra or it will starve. It makes no difference if you are a Zebra or a Lion; when the Sun comes up in Africa, you must wake up running......

"If you're being chased by a Lion, you don't have to be faster than the Lion, you just have to be faster than the person next to you."

David-

Very sorry to hear that you were, from the sound of it, very heavily impacted by the flood. I frankly can't imagine what it would be like to experience something like that. Hope you're able to pick up the pieces and life gets back to normal as soon as possible for you and yours.

Glad to hear someone out there still provides good customer service!! They seem to be "few and far between" nowadays.

Regards,
Scott

I understand how you feel. Hurricane Andrew took almost everything I owned in an hour of extreme violence I hope to never encounter again.

Good luck on the trip back.

Your problem is you're not a Haitian.

LDK:
You can't go wrong with Iron Sights. They do a great job rebuilding for a great price. I have a Cannon as well and their generosity is certainly noted.

Cannon does a good job of standing behind there produces. an uncle of mine bought a new on and they delievered his old on to him son free so he would not have to move it. and then saw a few small scratchs on the old on and offered to take it in to refinish it free.

This is a fantastic piece.

Seriously, are you ok? Or did something crawl into your ear in Uganda? Wink
