Somebody mention A-Frames?:

300gr 375s (180gr 30 cal Hornady on far right) recovered from Zebra, eland and wildebeest at ranges of 125, 175 and 65 respectively. I still switched primarily to the T/TTSXs though/

Biebs and Jorge got it spot on, shoot barnes TSX or something like a 300gr North Fork soft only. Take a few softs for insurance shots on the ground. Partitions way too soft.

Penetration and expansion depend alot on what the bullet encounters in its path.IMO,any bullet will not have an easy time going through a buff regardless of what it hits.If a solid goes through a buff it will do so in the same way a TSX,A-frame,Partition,etc goes through a medium size animal-in other words a solid will not be much more different on a buff than a soft in expansion trauma but will be much better than a soft in penetration.Sometimes you barely get any penetration from a soft on buff even with bullets like a 500gr TSX or an A-frame.You can be sure a solid will go through both lungs- cant say the same about an A-frame or even worse a TSX.
