Just watched the show and it struck me as another one of those funny hunts
Anyone had seen it?
The PH carried back up rifle that looked like Ruger # 1
One shot rifle as back up for buff?
Hmmm ...

Maybe his tracker carried another one just like it? Would be the same as a double then, just a little slower to bring to bear. dancing

No other rifle there with the hunter carrying crossbow

I've done back-up work with a Ruger No.1 .450/400 3"NE for a friend who was bowhunting. I had to use it, too, as the bull was hit poorly. I agree, not the best choice, but still not too bad. Got it all sorted out, but there was a tense moment.

I saw the show but, never did pay attention to the rifle the PH carried. I was wondering what brand of broadhead was used. The only thing I could tell was a cut-on-contact broadhead.

Some folks are proficient with the single shot rifle.
