Other than 400 gr @2350-2400fps loads does anyone have any load imfo for the Rigby,ie. 350gr bullets etc ? Does anyone have anything to comment on the Speer 350gr 416? I'm only interested in loading them for shooting at the range.

I have been shooting 50 gr of 5744 behind a 350 gr Speer. I use it as a practice load. Very accurate out to 100 yds. Recoil is negligible.

You might want to consider using cast bullets as well to reduce the costs of practice shooting sessions. I know RCBS makes a mold (which I borrow from a friend to make mine) but you can also buy them at a very reasonable cost from several manufacturers. 400 Cast bullets would probably be the way to go and decrease your powder load 5-7%. Huntington's would have them, or mold your own. If you want to shoot cheap bullets get the 400 grain Hornady bullets for plinking. "An individual with experience is never at the mercies of an individual with an argument"
