416 rigby loads
Other than 400 gr @2350-2400fps loads does anyone have any load imfo for the Rigby,ie. 350gr bullets etc ?
Does anyone have anything to comment on the Speer 350gr 416? I'm only interested in loading them for shooting at the range.

I have been shooting 50 gr of 5744 behind a 350 gr Speer. I use it as a practice load. Very accurate out to 100 yds. Recoil is negligible.

You might want to consider using cast bullets as well to reduce the costs of practice shooting sessions. I know RCBS makes a mold (which I borrow from a friend to make mine) but you can also buy them at a very reasonable cost from several manufacturers. Here's one:

400 Cast bullets would probably be the way to go and decrease your powder load 5-7%. Huntington's would have them, or mold your own. If you want to shoot cheap bullets get the 400 grain Hornady bullets for plinking.
