If you have 10 days to spend in Tanz after a hunt you could do Meru Park, Kilimanjaro, Lake Manyara, the Crater and still have time left for the Serengeti and maybe the Masai Mara.

When my wife was working in Arusha, we easily did short trips to Zanzibar and Rwanda, flying out of Kilimanjaro. Zanzibar is very interesting in terms of culture, and it's always nice to relax by the beach and eat fresh seafood. In Rwanda, we went to see the mountain gorillas in Volcanoes National Park and ended up no more than three steps from a silverback. I've also been to Serengeti, Ngorongoro, and Lake Manyara, and I loved them all. With ten days, you could probably do all of those things and still complete a three-day trip to Rwanda or Zanzibar.

Karibu Dar- I'll even buy you a drink.

Depends on what you are into. You could climb Kili, do a beach trip to Zanzibar, Pemba Island, or one of the mainland destinations. Do some fishing off of Kilwa or check out Kilwa kisiwani- https://www.google.co.tz/searc...ed=0CAYQ_AUoAQ&dpr=1

You can spend 10 days easily in September with very good Game viewing in Tarangire N.P with lots of Elephants and Common PG. Ngorongoro is a Must aswell Serengeti with a Balloon Flight and very Good Game viewing inclusive the Migration Experience. Afterwards you should spend a few days chilling in Zanzibar JMO

We went to the Ngorongoro and Serengeti in September 2013. Husband did Kilimanjaro and I joined him after the climb. There was not a mass migration but there were still a lot of animals.

Definitely something to see once in your life.

Enjoy your trip.

Hey Brother: For God's sake get a copy of the book called "Serengeti Shall not Die", by Bernhard Grzimek! It will tell you when and where every piss ant, grasshopper and wildebeat will be nearly to the day. Best piece of information you could ever get your hands on for the Serengeti. It is a GREAT read with all the scientific information to back it up. Trust me on this.

Fly over here to Saskatchewan and help us with harvest. We always could us another grain trucker! Days are not bad, start at 6am, breakfast at 8, lunch and supper in the field and in by 11pm. A quick shower and a beer and call it a day. If it rains, maybe shoot some ducks and geese! Loads of fun. You can also take all the photos you want!!!

Remember you are going to the best place in the entire world so there are a lot of choices and none could be wrong.

After one safari, I went to Ngorongoro and it was very nice if it wasn't for the people, which I wasn't used to seeing. But we saw several rhinos and some very nice buffalo. Hard to abide by the rule not to get out of the gari after hunting for two weeks.

Arusha National Park is a great visit. The trip up Meru and seeing the crater is worth the trip. Saw a lot of game including numerous troops of colobus and even a suni. The town of Arusha is a nice place to visit as well. I've spent several days in the city proper and don't regret one of them. (Tried to convince the wife to buy a house there; think she needs to see it first). The Hatari bar at the Arusha hotel, as well as the garden there, are worth a visit. There is a restaurant I'd like to recommend, but I'm drawing a blank.

Kili is an option. I've always wanted to do that. The other thing is the islands. People have mentioned Zanzibar and Pemba. I've always wanted to take my wife to the whole trilogy -- Zanzibar, Pemba and Mafia.

This year, it's western Tanzania. Next year is Masailand again. But what I'm really looking forward to as soon as I retire is a six month excursion, with hunting as a secondary goal.

Enjoy your trip; plenty of great choices to spend ten days.

Which area/region will you be hunting?

The options are many but if you want to exclude the beach and stay in the bush, then I would recommend 1 day Ngorongoro, 2 days Serengeti (You have to "tick" those off your list)then fly to Ruaha national Park for 3-4 days, then 2-3 days Selous photo area.

You are a photographer and the landscape (and game) in the Selous with the river system is a photographers dream come true! Ruaha will get you away from the "crowds" with stunning scenery and lot's of game.

If you are flying KLM, you can even arrive Kilimanjaro and depart from Dar es Salaam after the Selous without extra cost!

As a photographer, your experience would be dramatically improved if you booked with a photographer pro guide like Craig Doria or Dominyk Lever - Google them both.

If you're going to do the Ngorogoro Crater and especially if you're taking your better half, do yourself a favour and stay in the Ngorogoro Crater Lodge.

It's very expensive but well worth the money and you'll never forget the experience.
