Ladies and Gentlemen,

The winner of the AR Buffalo Hunt is....

Retreever!

Stanby 1 is....
MacD37

Standby 2 is....
Aril Iversen

We then continued drawing names, up to a final list of 10.

Bwanamrm
Rusty
Yukon delta
JJHACK
Mbogo375
T. Carr
Will

Retreever, please send me a PM with your name, address and phone number. I will get in touch with you and get give you all the details of your hunt.

If for any reason Retreever cannot make it, MacD375 will take his place.

If MacD375 is unable to go, then Arild Iversen takes his place.

As the hunt is going to be conducted by Pierre van Tonder, we thought of making a special edition of our two hunts with him in 2003 and 2004 available to the winner, and those lady luck missed a little. These DVDs will be edited to show a lot of the actual hunts - gore and all! - including some of Walter's classic attempts at hunting.

I would like to ask all the above mentioned members of AR to send me a PM with their names and complete address, and I will send them a copy of these two hunts as soon as I am finished with them.

Congratulations to Retreever, I can assure you you are going to have a memorable hunt. Pierre does not do anything by half measures.

The rest of you, I am sorry there can only one winner. may be better luck next time.

Congratulations to Retreever. I had the pleasure of meeting Retreever at the Dallas Safari Show and this safari couldn't be won by a nicer guy or one who will appreciate it more.

Here's a picture of Retreever and his wife, Cherie, from their Zimbabwe safari last year. I believe Retreever is a teacher, so this safari will be the experience of a lifetime.

Congratulations Retreever. I enjoyed meeting you in Dallas. You are one of the few fellows I ever met that seems to enjoy shooting his 458 Lott.

Into my heart on air that kills
From yon far country blows:
What are those blue remembered hills,
What spires, what farms are those?

I see it shining plain,
The happy highways where I went
And cannot come again.
