I got asked that question by a "hipster" last night. Now, I am a bit old to be a hipster but not too old to talk to them.

Then I asked about the "dog". Well, it is not a dog, I found out. It is a way of saying, "What are your plans for 2014 old buddy".

So, I ask you, the members of AR - What you doing in 2014 , dog?

Me - headed on another sheep hunt and to NZ for a ChamTahrStagRusaFallow hunt.

my wife would like to shoot an un-scarred hippo that has a nice hide on it, probably a cow or non-fighter sattelite bull. Will be looking to book this hunt soon, @ DSC.

IF I can find an ele hunt ( exportable but tusked, not a big trophy),which I can $wing, that may happen also...

Well Dog, so far my 2014 Hunting schedule goes down like this!

1. Muskox in Canada - April
2. Lion/Leopard/Buff in Mozambique - May
3. Tule Elk in California - August
4. Stone Sheep/Moose/Grizzly Bear in the Yukon - September
5. Woodland Caribou/Moose in New Foundland - September
6. Mtn. Lion in B.C. - December

Hopeful Hunts:
1. Will be trying to get a Quebec Labrador Caribou setup in Aug/Sept if possible.
2. Doing the same for a Sitka Blacktail in November.

Then of course guiding 3 or 4 hunts in October - December. Plus like many of us, I'll hope to draw a deer/elk/antelope/sheep tag somewhere?

Good luck guys!!!!

Alaska islands black bear hunt.
Colorado antelope, mule deer, and elk.
Oklahoma whitetail deer, ducks, pheasant, etc.
And three states for prairie dogs.

Although, I do feel kinda jealous of Aaron and a few others here. Won't be able to go to Africa again until 2015.

First off, if you want to be hip, rad, cool, fly, or any other in such colloquialism I suggest you spell it Dawg.

For Joyce and I it will be Alaskan hunting only this year. We'll see what our drawing permits provide. Otherwise Moose will be on the menu.

Hunting in Africa is an adventure. The number of variables involved preclude the possibility of a perfect hunt. Some problems will arise. How you decide to handle them will determine how much you enjoy your hunt.

Just tell yourself, "it's all part of the adventure." Remember, if Robert Ruark had gotten upset every time problems with Harry
Selby's flat bed truck delayed the safari, Horn of the Hunter would have read like an indictment of Selby. But Ruark rolled with the punches, poured some gin, and enjoyed the adventure.

Back to back hunts in Australia; feral culling followed by buffalo culling. I'm trying to maximize the use of my air-fare dollar and minimize the long flights. The following year will likely be back in Africa with 2 or three hunts strung together.

My local Canadian stuff will depend on what the draws bring, but moose, elk, whitetail and bear are open seasons.

My 2013 leopard hunt got rescheduled to Apr/May 2015 in the Save, so will have
to live vicariously through all the AR members hunt reports until then!

I am going to Sonora in 16 days for Desert Mule Deer, SCI Vegas for a week in Feb
& taking the wife/friends to Thailand in March so will at least be out of the inclement Wyoming
Winter weather a bit this year!

We lease a couple of ranches so have quite good pheasant hunting every weekend
through early-March.

The best part is that I live in America's Serengeti, Northeast Wyoming, so have
incredible elk, deer, pronghorn, bear, mountain lion hunting right out the back
door (literally!) & quite good upland bird hunting as well!

Lastly, would love to return to Scotland for a combination driven Red Grouse/
Pheasant hunt in late Sept-Oct. Did that hunt this year with Kiri (Fallowbuck on AR)
& it was unbelievably fun, I will put
a link to his hunt report below.

http://forums.accuratereloadin...8321043/m/6051070491

Hopefully, 2014 will be a great year for everyone!
