Now that is neat stuff; amazing how the mother used her feet and trunk to help support the little tyke and get it oriented almost immediately after being dropped. Speaking of, that was quite a drop, as it exited mom. That's what I call entering the scene with a bang, er, thud. Smiler

Elephant, elephant!!? I thought that was Rosie O'Doughnut having a kid after an intimate night with a turkey baster. Naw, her kid would be bigger and be half mouth.

They really take care of their calves. I guess after that long a gestation period, they'd have to be attatched.

Very neat. Its amazing how family oriented they are. They all seem to participate in the birth in someway. Either from looking out for the mother or helping in getting the little one going.
