So, I am going to post this in both this forum and the Big Bore forum, since I think it has a bit to do with both. On this Wednesday, 10-15-14, TCM will be running the movie Safari. This is a 60's vintage movie starring Victor Mature. The movie is listed on my DISH guide to start at 11:45PM MST. The reason I am posting this is that not that far into the movie there is a scene where a hunter walks out and shoots a large bull elephant. It looks to be a very nice frontal brain shot as the elephant just collapses. It is a very short scene but I found it extremely interesting and was wondering if anyone has any idea of who this is doing the shooting. It appears that he is a PH and there is no back up to be seen. Just thought I would throw this out. The rest of the movie is pretty bad though. | ||

the shot looked to be high and left. I don't know where an elephant's brain is exactly, but i suspect the shot missed the brain itself. | |||

I never would have known to look if not for this thread, and I never would have seen where the shot hit if not for youtube at 25% speed. at movie speed, without many replays, it looks like a solid frontal shot. | |||
