Me, my wife and son are sitting in the Delta Sky Club lounge in the Atlanta Hartsfield Airport after our first flight out of Shreveport,La. Spending a couple days in Vic Fallsand then Headed to Namibia to hunt some elephant with Karl Stumpfe.Hunting out of Sobbe camp.

Report to come as often as I can get access to internet. Wish me luck.


We seldom get to choose
But I've seen them go both ways
And I would rather go out in a blaze of glory

eyedoc is going to try and update along the trip as possible,, I may get some updates by email or text and I will update if he can't. He isn't bowhunting this trip,, he is after another jumbo. He has his new 470 double and a 416 rigby with him. His son is doing the video work and possibly hunt a little as well. We go back bowhunting in 69 days,,,he will be logging some air miles...

Settled in here at the Africa Sky quest lodge. No problems with Saps. Supper was a fellet with mushroom sauce. Leaving in the a.m. for vic falls. Will be hunting with riffle this trip, but back in 6 weeks for bow hunting.

Checking in from the historic Victoria Falls Hotel.All of the guns arrived safely.Veiwed the Falls yesterday and went to a crocadile ranch this morning.Going fishing for Tigerfish this afternoon and then on to the Caprivi bright and early in the morning.

Should be chasing elephant by this time tomorrow afternoon.Kepping fingers crossed for a good bull.

Alright, We caught a few tigerfish, best fishing I've ever had on the zambezi. Had supper at Russel Caldcotts Ultimate Lodge. Good times shared by all. Off tomorrow for the Caprivi.

eyedoc is in the Caprivi now with Karl Stumpf. They have been hunting mainly Jumbo, Mikes wife is along and his son is doing the camera work. Do not be surprised if the need to hunt a nicegemsbock or kudu jumps into the equation and quota,, Hopefully a pic will trickle out every once in awhile

I have recieved two short texts from eyedoc,,, First one was big bull down!!!! Second text was Shot second elephant, frontal brain shot at 9 paces,, big bull down... He says when he gets to civilization he will post the stories, details and photos,, Karl put him on the Jumbos..
