1- to hunt one Bull ELEPHANT in ZIM?
2- to hunt one Cow ELEPHANT in ZIM?

No need to own any parts of the animal nor to get
any parts out of ZIM.
I just want to experience fair chase, close hunting
and strive for an ethical shooting opportunity,
Day or Night.
If at all possible I'd like to use www.tshabezisafaris.com
as I know a guy who has used then several times and had a
great trip each occasion.

"Peace is that brief glorious moment in history when everybody stands around reloading" - Thomas Jefferson

Every morning the Zebra wakes up knowing it must outrun the fastest Lion if it wants to stay alive. Every morning the Lion wakes up knowing it must outrun the slowest Zebra or it will starve. It makes no difference if you are a Zebra or a Lion; when the Sun comes up in Africa, you must wake up running......

"If you're being chased by a Lion, you don't have to be faster than the Lion, you just have to be faster than the person next to you."

Well, here goes, I can't wait to see where this goes.
If you really want "fair chase" and ethical, those two concepts really are normally not done at night regardless of the legality.

Why don't you just ask Dudley Rodgers at Tshabezi Safaris?

Have you hunted a PAC or problem elephant at night?

For the original poster, if you want to hunt with Tshabezi talk to Dudley Rogers at DSC or SCI or Wendell Reich who books for them.

Nope, I don't hunt at night as my first post indicates. Doug Hidden who used to hunt Zim before going to Alaska hunted extensively at night and killed some might big Jumbos coming out of the parks at night to drink where they would pump water. I have Zero problem with you doing it but not for me. have you hunted leopard in the daytime?

Yes I have. The Leopards won.

To be clear, I am not in favor of hanging out outside a park with a floodlight looking for a big tusker. But chasing a problem bull at night with a flashlight is a whole different matter. It is more animal control than a sport hunt perhaps but is no cake walk. Hearing a bull approaching in the dark, waiting for the flashlight to go on, is an entirely different approach than a daytime tracking hunt.

fair enough, I'll acknowledge the difference, But what defines a "problem bull" a crop raider?
I've only hunted Jumbo in Bots so I don't know how they define there it or Identify one for that matter.

The one I was involved in was going into town and causing trouble every night. After hunting tuskless in the daylight, following the bull in the dark was much more hair-raising, and I was just along for the ride.

My experience.

I know many times it is a crop raider but I have no experience there.

This is all a bit off-topic as the original poster should be able to get an affordable bull and hopefully a tuskless with his outfitter of choice unless their offerings have changed.

Some of the most exciting hunting I have ever done is crop raiding elephant on a full moon night. Fair chase? Hell yes, for the elephant that is!!

The actual hunt will be at least 1.5 years hence

in all likelyhood. Info gathering is my quest at

this interval.

I will be with Dudley in late June hunting Tuskless and I added it to a buff hunt. It seemed like an affordable way to do it.
