Don’t forget there are clients who sit in the truck as soon as an animal is wounded, saying to their PH “do your job now!” Don’t forget the “look at me” idiots who have absolutely no business being there in the first place! I have been hunting all my life. I am told by many PHs stories which makes me feel some people should never, EVER, be even allowed to hold a rifle! Many of these are so glorified by SCI!

When I was on my LDE hunt is CAR, which is a pure and classic tracking hunt, the PH of record told me that he has shot "many" clients LDE after they simply couldn't go any further on track. We followed the same herd for 5 days IIRC. Finally caught them at water midday on day 5. It was hot, you need to move constantly because the LDE do. It was hard but very well earned trophy and memorable hunt. Formerly "Nganga"

There are instances where the PH would rather go after a wounded animal himself, once he knows the client.
