Bryan Smith was "on the horns of a dilemna" that lesser mortals would not survive. Apparently he got a good laugh out of it too, after it was done.
But even he was no match for a buffalo, or, sadly, the cape buffalo just got lucky.
St. Finn will welcome him to the Happy Hunting Ground. salute

Great story ALF.

Too young, right? And clearly full of life.

Still, I have to think that a man who would wrestle a waterbuck through the thorns for 200 yards is not a man who would ever expect, or even want, to die in bed!

Godspeed.

I wish peace to Bryan and his family.

I suspect he was doing what pleased him the most.

ALF, a very nice story. I'm sure he enjoyed it.

Hope you all enjoyed the two pictures (especially the huge buffalo!)
If I remember correctly, Bryan apprenticed in Zambia under PH Peter Hankin.
