Maybe someone can help clear something up for me. Most of the income to Namibia’s communal conservancies comes from either Trophy Hunting or what is always referred to as “Joint-Venture-Tourism”; with considerably more coming from Joint-Venture-Tourism (which is code for photo-safaris). But as I understand it, some trophy hunting is also conducted under a joint-venture agreement between the conservancies and outfitters. So what I suspect is that the numbers are weighted in favor of Joint-Venture-Tourism to diminish the value of trophy hunting to the conservancies. In other words, the “Joint-Venture-Tourism” numbers also include some trophy hunting revenues. No? Can anyone clear this up? Thanks. | ||
