Reconyx

We tried two trail cameras, a Bushnell TROPHYCAMP HD and a RECONYX 6.

What you see here is the video from the Reconyx.

The Bushnell was bloody awful in comparison.

Pretty clear footage Saeed.

Stunning recording considering it came from a trail camera.

I think we are getting rather spoiled with the quality of videos nowadays.

Yesterday the kids were playing right there where those animals were, and I took a video of them using the DJI PHANTOM 4, in 4K.

The video was absolutely fantastic.

Then I tried a new Sony video camera that records 4K at 60 fps and 600 MPs.

Again, it knocks spots off the Phantom 4 video.

We are taking these Sony on safari this year.
Sadly, a 64GB XQD cards only lasts 10 minutes??!!

I have 128 GB cards on order.

Thank you Saeed,

Joyce especially enjoyed her time at your lovely abode. Obviously you are welcome in ours anytime should the not so frozen North appeal to you someday.

Cheers
Jim

The clarity is incredible it looks like a pro quality video from the television .
We have a newer Lenovo desk top monitor and between the camera and computer screen I too think we are getting very good pictures (video)
I will check into the Reconyx for our food plots. After all deer season is coming.

It's been years since I've tried another, but of the ones I've used Reconyx is by far the best and most reliable, with Bushnell being the worst of the lot - at least for me. I use cameras for census counts, and run them all year, with some taking 3,200 pics per month. Moultrie had some good image quality, but the cameras kept failing. Cuddeback - poor image quality and detection is not what they claim it is. Bushnell - horrible detection and poor images. I've run Reconyx for for years now. Most dependable camera on the market, with very good detection and decent image quality (especially considering mine is probably 7-8 years old now)

Already I was beginning to fall into the African way of thinking: That if
you properly respect what you are after, and shoot it cleanly and on
the animal's terrain, if you imprison in your mind all the wonder of the
day from sky to smell to breeze to flowers—then you have not merely
killed an animal. You have lent immortality to a beast you have killed
because you loved him and wanted him forever so that you could always
recapture the day - Robert Ruark

I own 6 Reconyx cameras. Slightly underwhelmed. They have a good repair policy. But I have to say my 120 dollar Cabelas Cameras take better night pictures. I have owned every brand there is. These are I guess my 2 favorites. Would not spit on a Cuddeback. Old Stealthcams with the big cards are durable as hell.

Awesome video.

I have four of the Reconyx cameras and same number of old cuddys. The Reconyx are very reliable, but night pics (no flash) are poor. The cuddys have been a little less reliable but take as good day pics and far better night pics.

Saeed. I have also a Reconyx I use around my truck camper in Africa at night to see what comes to visit. Picks up hyenas etc and few false positives and good range. I ve not had as good luck with others.

Wow nice footage. What species are those antelope, I am guessing Dama Gazelles and Adra Gazells or Eritian Gazelles?

I missed the Blackbucks, and wouldn't have caught that until you said something.
