Great pictures as always. I don't see how you find the time to take all those clear and detailed shots while on safari.

ALLEN W. JOHNSON - DRSS

Into my heart on air that kills
From yon far country blows:
What are those blue remembered hills,
What spires, what farms are those?
That is the land of lost content,
I see it shining plain,
The happy highways where I went
And cannot come again.

Allen,

Everyone one with us has a digital camera, and I download all the photos to the computer each evening, they tend to take as many as they wish.

The above photos were taken by Horst. He does not hunt, but likes to take photos and find snakes and scorpions - which he seems to find under practically every rock he looks at!

He used to be the zoo keeper here in Dubai. He says it is lucky for Walter he is no longer there, as he swore he would have tied Walter up and put him in one of the cages!

Last year we had close to 10,000 photos!!?

I will select a few more and post them.

Saeed,

Thanks for posting the photos. Africa is just amazing in it's diversity of creatures.

10,000 pics last year? You folks really don't want to miss a second of it do you? Smiler
Sounds like you could easily setup an online natural history museum featuring African flora & fauna!

Amazing photo of the leopard on bait BTW...!

Regards,
Dave

Saeed,

Thanks for posting the leopard pic! I saw it in camp, but didn't find it in the pictures you sent. That was very cool. I think the bait was only a few hundred yards from our tents. Smiler

Horst's pictures are fantastic. In exchange for giving me three consecutive weeks holiday (company policy is only 2 weeks), my boss made me give an hour long presentation of my trip to our entire office (about 60 people) shortly after I got back. Since most of the office employees are female (clerks, accountants, HR, etc) and non-hunters (we live in redneck country so fortunately anti-hunters are RARE!), I salted the presentation liberally with Horst's pictures. I actually chose most of the ones you have on that link!! The presentation was a huge hit (everyone loves those pictures). PLEASE thank Horst for me the next time you see him!!

Best regards,
Chris

Very nice. My favorite is the ele bull in the long grass!

Thank you for sharing the amazing photos. I am forever in awe of the diversity and beauty of the wildlife and the cycle of life that takes place in Africa.

By the way, I think that someone needs to change out the front left tire on their Bakkie.

Thanks Saeed for the wonderful photos!
I think every PH and Outfitter in Africa owes you a commission on their bookings because these pictures really get the blood boiling and capture the essence of Africa.

Thanks for the pics. Makes me want to go back right now.

We must have stayed in the same room at the Sea Cliffs because that view is very familiar.

Thanks again

Saeed,

Great photos. Especially the one of the buffalo with the rifle leaned up against it. I love the looks of that rifle. Definitly a veteran of many conflicts.
