We have been talking about this a while ago. Would there be any intrest to have a gathering at the AIM Shooters show that will be hosted from 16- 18 March 2007 in Johannesburg. I think the 17th would be the best date. I have discussed it with Pierre vd Walt and he is happy with it. There are caterers on site, so it will be easy to arrange it.

Please let me know as soon as possible so that we can get the wheels rolling.

Jaco,

Good idea. I'll plan my trip to be available on 17th March. What time? Where?

If there are any AR members from USA and other places who will be in South Africa then, please join us for this event!

It will either be the Friday evening or the Saturday evening. Maybe the Friday evening will be the best.

I asked Pierre to get us a price for a braai from the caterers. The bar will be open for us.

I was thinking of getting a package together and we pay the money for entrance and the braai into the aimshow account. At the entrance their will be a list and our names will be checked against it as we enter.

What is your thaughts and ideas. I will gladly act as middleman, but I do not want to force my ideas on anybody.

I will appreciate some input from all of you.

It seems that the best day will be Friday evening. The show is not so busy on Fridays which will give us a better opportunity to go through the exhibition. The show closes at 18h00 and then our paty will begin. I have asked Pierre to get us a quote from the caterers for a braai and pap and sheba, must we have a salad as well?

Who wants to bring the family as well? Please post so we can have an idea of numbers that will be attending.

What I was thinking about was to get a price inclussive of the show cost. I will supply the account details to those who will attend to pay the monies into the Aim show bank account with their Aliases as refference. When you enter the show you will not have to que and can enter by reporting to the enquiry counter. I will give more information closer to the time.

Are there any of the international members who will be here on the 16th of March, that would like to attend?

Request for Saeed or a moderater:
Will it be possible to put this post at the top untill the 16th of March. I will appreciate if you can do it.

Here is the final arrangements for our RSA AR party.

The party will be at the Nasrec exhibition centre from 18h00 till 21h00.

We cannot organise the party ourselves, it must be done through the company who got the rights to supply food and beverages.

We must hire a barman, a waiter and an events manager and pay for security. We decided not to rent tables and chairs, it will just increase the cost.

We will have a braai, a chop, piece of boerewors and a piece of sirloin served with pap end sheba, greek salad and a bread roll. A cash bar will be available.

The cost will be R100-00 per person. All monies must be paid into Pierre's acount and the deposit slip must be forwarded to me. All monies must be paid in by Monday evening 11 March 2007 and please I need the proof of payment not later than 19h00. If we are less than 15 people we will have to cancell as the cost will be much higher then. All costs must be paid in advance.

Please send me an email to enable me to forward the banking details to you.

Hope to see you all there.

I have tried to arrange for pre payment of the admission fees. Unfortuneately it is not possible, the whole auditing of the entrance fees will be in a mess.

Please pre register on the aim show site. http://www.aimshow.co.za/ You will need a different email address for every pre registration. The pre registration entitles you to a discount and you will enter at another turnstile. The show is not that busy on a Friday, there should not be a long que
