Safari hunt,
The caterers gave us an al inclusive price per person, with a minimum of 15. It took me two weeks to get something from them, if I must go back to them with exceptions, it will just complicate matters.

There are 4 groups of people involved that must aprove everything, the owners of the exhibition grounds, the security company, the owners of the aim show and the caterers. To get them all to agree is very difficult at this stage.

Thanks Steve, I am looking forward meeting everybody. I have talked to many and met only a few. I think we will have a ball

UEG,
We will try to post a full report, I am just scared of the possible sensorship.A black strip over the eyes should be enough to protect the guilty animal

UEG,
We have this rule in Africa mainly to protect the guilty, "What happens in the bush, stays in the bush".

The report will have to be a little bit sensor'd to protect the guilty, which will most probably be the whole bunch animal

UEG,
That is a great idea, it would be nice to have some international attendance. I think this will become an annual event at the AIM show. With enough participation we can organise some extra events for the day.

All we have to do now is to work out a workable plan

I was at the show today from 10am to 2pm and I was a bit dissapointed it got realy small dont know if the guys who normally exhibit was put off because of the new venue but lets hope that it gets back to action next year. I'm currently at home drinking a glass of wine while the other guys are I suppose having a great time. But then again my son only stay 2 years old for such a short time and I dont have any hassles baby sitting him.

I had a very nice chat with :

KarlS and 500nitro.

There was nothing really super to report at the show and all the outdoor events are only scheduled for tomorow anyway. Well there is an update.

The show wasn't as big as previous years for sure - but we had a terrific time and it was such a pleasure for me to finally put a few faces to names......... I'd like to tank Jaco especially for laying it all on and I'm sure he'll be posting a few pics....... and oh boy, will someone be embarrassed!!!!!!!!

Finally, I sincerely hope that the braii does become an annual and international event. If any of you overseas hunters are planning a hunt in SA for next year, why not try to make your first or last day in SA be the day of the SA - AR Braii...... it'll be just sooooooo much fun!!

First of all, I want to thank everybody that attended the first AR party in RSA. cheersI was really a pleasure meeting all the guys. I think it was a great success. beer

The caterers did a very good job, we had far too much food, all jumped in to braai, the place for the best conversation.

Thanks to Pierre van der Walt who agreed that we can host this party with the Aim show, he is a real gentleman and a very good friend. thumb

I will post some photos the moment I had a chance to work through them. (I spend the whole day on the shooting range with a club shoot). Lochi was the official photograher( he hijacked my camera), I will have to sensor the photos else all the secrets will out in the open. bewildered shocker

I would very much like it if we can make this an annual event and have some of our international friends attending the party. dancing

Last but not least, thanks Saeed and the moderators who kept this tread at the top. beer
