I've got a couple of friends that were scheduled on that flight. They are in Atlanta, just called and all I could make out was something about a Cheetah

Well I have a seat for the flight leaving Dulles tonight. I hope I can salvage a good safari out of this mess. I must give Kathi a few more plugs. Got my first call from her shortly after 5am this morning. I was standing in line at the airport along with over 500 other people and about ready to throw in towel. Kathi called to inform me that I would have a seat on the flight. I told her I didnt believe her. She then gave me her personal Cell phone number and instructed me to call from the ticket counter if they did not have a seat for me. No call was needed. I had a seat. Not sure how she knew because nobody else did. SAA began checking in people holding tickets for todays flight and placing all us refugees on stand-by. At about 8am (I got to the airport just before 5am and still have 300 people in front of me)they separated us into two lines, people form prior day flights and people for todays flight. From that point on all the refugees got seats and the people planning on leaving today got a free ride to the hotel. To say the least I feel lucky. So, now I have a few more HRS to kill before the flight and then off to kill something. My final words of advice. If you are going over the pond on SAA for the next few days, be sure to get to the airport early. They operate on a first come first serve policy. If you are at the back of the line I believe your chances of getting bumped go up. Secondly, make sure you have a Travel agent that will stick with you if you do get stuck. SAA is worthless and will tell you nothing. Many people where suck like me saw the line this AM and said to hell with it. They left and I was ready to do the same. Had Kathi not called me when she did telling me to stay put, I would be on a plane back to Arkansas. Be back in a few weeks god willing! Kathi & Guests WE had a client booked to fly out from Atlanta on Friday but SAA could only get him on the Saturday flight which arrived OK in JIA, only thing is the one day delay meant he was not able to make his connect scheduled SA flight to Livingstone as no SA flight on the Sunday, therefore SAA is putting him up tonight in Jo-burg and he will take the Monday SA connect flight out to Livingstone, so we have just had to delay his (private charter) Livingstone to Ngoma which is not a problem, just means he has to trim a couple of days off his hunt Peter
