they are one of the outfitters that truly does it right raoul ramoni only takes a small percentage of lions that he has on quota and pays government for the rest out of pocket , he also only sells as many permits as he wants to take so everyone goes home with one .. wish there were more outfitters with that level of integrity and foresight in this game , his camps and service are excellent aswel "The greatest threat to our wildlife is the thought that someone else will save it” www.facebook.com/ivancartersafrica www.ivancarterwca.org www.ivancarter.com ivan@ivancarter.com

Wow, those are some gorgeous trophies! Sounds like this fella truly is a class act. Some of those buffalo are hard to believe. There is hope, even when your brain tells you there isn’t. – John Green, author

I see my old friend/PH Johnny Yakas in several of those pic's...looks like he is still finding great trophies for his clients!

IIRC TBGS took 16 lions in 09. 2 from the Masai and 14 from their western areas. You should see the pictures of the Lions that were turned down! There are plenty left! The 103# weight was after 60 days drying time. They are booked on the Eles thru 2013. My son and I are hunting with Johnny Yakas and Micheal Angelides July 1st for 28 days with Lions as #1 priority. No Ele on license though! Damm I talked to Orlando Cardosa in Dallas and he saw a honest 50 kg Ele in their Mlele area this year, there are still a few out there!

We will start in Masai East. Raoul said he was going to let Michael pick which camp in the west to hunt and was not sure yet which one we are hunting in.

WOW! That's a big pile of lions. Some exceptional trophies in there. The price of knowledge is great but the price of ignorance is even greater.

Maybe there is a reason they pay the BIG $$$ to hunt Tanzania. Those buffalo are something to behold! Pic #18 is whopper!

IMO, there is NO other place in Africa that compares with Tanzania. Unfortunately, there is also no other place that compares regarding price!

Maaaan! Incredible trophies - all of them. I am amazed at even the lesser kudu - heavy horns with tight curls and 2 full spirals and out pointed ivory tips! I would love to have one of those on my wall, let alone all the others....sigh! "When the wind stops....start rowing. When the wind starts, get the sail up quick."

Besides the DG, that lesser kudu and a couple of the Sable really floored me. Frank "I don't know what there is about buffalo that frightens me so.....He looks like he hates you personally. Brett, Those Botswana lions were/are great but no better than what Tanzania offers. And when they were on license the cost of a hunt was totally insane. I'd love to have hunted for one in Botswana but Tanzania spoiled me.

Makes me long for the good ol days (20 years ago) when my grandfather shot a huge lion in Western Tanz for $1500 per day. I'd love to know the all in price for 21 days for buff and both cats with these guys. $100k? $125k? Will J. Parks, III

Will, I spoke with Raul last year via cell phone when he was in town for SCI. His all in was around 120k. I want to say day fees where 58kish. TGT and FOA tend to run a little more. Pasanisi's TWS may be more too, but I'm not sure. TBGS is right in line price wise with Miombo, TAWCO, Samaras, Adam Clements, and Robin Hurt Safaris. As Ivan eluded to they buy their whole quota up front and only use part of it. They also ONLY sell 21 day hunts. As a rersult their quota usage is minimal and they have excellent trophy quality. The 120k price was all in on an average 21 day two area general bag safari while taking 20-25 animals on average. That's from Raul. If I had the expendable cash to do so, I'd do it in a heartbeat.. I sure wish 220K would fall in my lap and the only catch is that I had to spend it on hunting! I'd have it gone in 3 hunts.. This 21 day full bag in Tanz, then onto a High Altai Argali in Mongolia, and if I have enough left over, a Desert Bighorn hunt in either Sonora or Baja!
