This is my first post, but I have been "LURKING" here for over a year now. I have finally done it and booked my first AFRICAN hunt. S.A. East Cape. My wife of 21 very patient years will be tagging along. I would like to thank everyone here for all the info. This would have been an even more intimidating procedure without all the info gathered on this site.

Thanks All
Jim

Good luck Jim. When do you leave? What animals are on your list? How long is the hunt? What caliber rifle? Oh, and welcome to AR!!

Hi Jim,
I love the Eastern Cape. I leave in three weeks and will finish my trip there. You'll fly into Jo'burg and then down to PE I imagine. There are several good restaurants in PE, seafood being the specialty of several. You should have a great trip and see an awesome part of RSA.
Good hunting, David

"Peace is that brief glorious moment in history when everybody stands around reloading" - Thomas Jefferson

Every morning the Zebra wakes up knowing it must outrun the fastest Lion if it wants to stay alive. Every morning the Lion wakes up knowing it must outrun the slowest Zebra or it will starve. It makes no difference if you are a Zebra or a Lion; when the Sun comes up in Africa, you must wake up running......

"If you're being chased by a Lion, you don't have to be faster than the Lion, you just have to be faster than the person next to you."

buthloc, thanks, it feels like winning the LOTTERY.
Mike, if the the worst trouble I'm in I'll be a happy camper (LOL). Thanks for the pictures. I have seen your hunting reports and I really enjoyed the day to day reports on your last Safari. I will spend a lot of time looking for a Pangolin ( Maybe I can get them to have one there and ready for me when I arrive ).
