Moz for Buffalo?

Well, I thought I was going to be able to hold out another year before returning to Africa but I don't think I can make it. Anyone know of any reputable outfitters for decent buff hunting in Mozambique? I loved the area I hunted last year in Zim but would like to try somewhere new this year or for '09.

Anything rugged and remote fits the bill. I haven't tried the "swamp" style of hunting, and it sounds like some of the better buffalo coming out of Moz are in those areas but I like to walk and hunting from an argo probably wouldn't do it for me.

Anyone hunted Niassa?

Anyway, if anyone has any experience buff hunting in Moz or knows of outfitters with any openings, please feel free to drop me a line.
Thanks!

JP Kleinhans, http://www.jpkleinhanssafaris.com

I hunted his Mahimba concession in 2006, excellent. Pretty open country, godly numbers of buff. Sable, croc, waterbuck, bushbuck, common reedbuck available.

I will be heading to Niassa in mid September for a Sable and PG hunt. Then we will go to the Delta. As of right now I can't promise you that we have any Buffalo left for this year. I'll be glad to confirm if you wish to email or call me ASAP (I'm off to Alaska on Saturday, then Zim on the 21st). Our Niassa camp is new (hasn't been built yet) and roads are just now being cut into the area. Lots of Sable (Roosevelt), Lich., Hartebeest, Reedbuck, Red/Blue Duiker, Suni, Oribi, Nyala, Bushbuck, Bushpig, Warthog, Waterbuck, Baboon (Chacma & Yellow), Elephant, Lion and Leopard with Buff in the Delta (50,000). Croc and Hippo are sold out, and I believe Elephant. Any questions, just ask.
Good hunting,
David
