I need to go hunting!!! Hook me up!!!

After two busted hunt opportunities this year due to work, I finally have it set in stone that I can get away anytime in August.

I would like to book about 10 days probably in Namibia with Kudu and Gemsbock as the main quarry. Any other animals are secondary and I'll trust that the PH will tell me if something else will make a nice trophy. A "nice XYZ antelope" doesn't interest me but if the PH just grabs me and says "Shoot that!", I'll be thrilled.

A tent camp is prefered over a farm or lodge and don't bother filling the bar as I probably won't have three drinks the whole trip.

Yeah, I know that I'm doing this wrong I'm supposed to build a rapport with a PH/outfitter by visiting with them at shows and meticuously researching their references but time is against me here so someone tell me what they've got available.

Be advised that good or bad I'll make a report
on here and other websites but also know that I'm probably one of the easiest customers that you'll ever have. As long as I have realistic chances at game and the PH is good humored and honest, everyone will come away from the hunt happy.

Frank,

I remember Ann, Aspen Hills Adventures, posting a discounted Namibia hunt a few weeks ago. I went back and found the thread. The dates she posted don't really match yours but maybe you could work something out. Plus, the package included a tented camp for a portion of the hunt and one of each of the following: kudu, gemsbok, mountain zebra and a warthog.

Good luck I wish I was going with you!!!

Jealous,

Frank,
I should be able to hook you up in August. Send me a list of the animals you want and those you might want and I'll put something together for you. Good hunting, David

I am booked with Vaughan Fulton in Caprivi for elephant and a desert conservancy for plains game in late July/early August. That's something to consider.

Fjold,

Last year I had a great trip with Keith Wright - Didimala Safaris. He has three communal concessions west of Etosha Pan. Each concession is approx. three million acres if I remember correctly. Lots of gemsbok, kudu, springbuck, and Mtn zebra. Many other species as well. Keith does not have website but can be reached by email or phone. If you are interested let me know and I can get you his contact info.

August is a heavily booked month, so you may not be able to pick and choose.

I know Karl Stumpfe is offering a good package for Namibia right now, but it's a two hunter deal, and I am not sure what dates he has open. It's $7K for a 14 day hunt, tented camp, about twenty animals in all. You can contact him directly, or PM me for details.

If that fails, contact me, I'm pretty sure I have an opening at Okatjuru or another area I know of.
