That was gut wrenching.I just cannot imagine the suffering of the poor beast.Feed the SOBs to the lions,I say.

Fairgame, please convey our gratitude and appreciation to the client for his compassion and magnanimous gesture.

The picture of that great and noble beast, reduced from a vibrant living thing to little more than breathing carrion is one of the most disturbing things that I have ever seen. Whenever these sort of things happen in Africa it does nothing more than confirm my opinion that wildlife in Africa, and big game in particular, is fighting to survive against a ruthless army of people who have no compassion or respect for anything.

To the man who put this formerly magnificent creature out of its suffering: Thankyou for your selfless act. You have shown that sport hunters are the very opposite of the ruthless savages who did this terrible thing.

A true sportsman that gentleman that stepped in to do what he could.

May a thousand syphilitic baboons have their way with the low lifes responsible for the snare.

Nope Robin sorry to say but you're wrong. Do it the Comanche way, face down with honey smeared on their face and private parts over a TEXAS Fire Ant bed. Feedin' themto the Lions is way to quick.

IMO the snaring in all of Africa is out of control. Just last week I saw 4 buffaloes and an elephant with a snare, that too in a National Park!!!! They should shoot the bastards that cause this suffering.

Fire ants didn't make it to Texas until the 1950's.

Careful there! You could have Naki jumping up and down. You have to blame the damn colonialists you know.

Natural death in Africa is either by starvation or to be killed by predators or rivals. As a young ranger(and even today) I struggle(d) to drive past an animal on its last, while theoretically we should not play God, we all do/did it at times. Our king of beasts are no exception to natures rules
