That is where hunted last year, and where we are going to be hunting this year.

It belongs to Alan Vincent, whome I have known since he was a six year old PH.

I wonder how many people are hunting Africa today with the same family they have hunted with 30 years ago?

As Walter keeps saying to Alan "you are becoming as nasty and those two old men! I don't like this at all!"

Alan's answer was "good! The nastier they are to you the more fun I have! Now I can also provide my own fun too!"

Tanzania Releases List of Concession Allocations

The Ministry of Natural Resources & Tourism (Wildlife Division) of Tanzania has released the list of concessions allocated to hunting companies for 2013 - 2018. Minister Ezekiel M. Maige distributed a confirmed list of companies receiving allocations at a press conference on February 2, 2012, at the Safari Club International Convention in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Although Minister Maige acknowledged that appeals by several companies were still under review, he said that he did not expect many changes in the allocations. However, the following day, Hunting Report Editor Barbara Crown met with Jack Brittingham, a shareholder of Tanzania Wildlife Co., who told her that the minister had agreed to return the subdivided Lake Natron Game Controlled Area South (in its entirety) to Tanzania Wildlife Co. due to stipulations in the company's sales contract with the Tanzanian Government. Longtime Hunting Report subscribers will remember that Tanzania Wildlife Co. is the former TAWICO. Brittingham and a Tanzanian partner purchased the parastatal from the Tanzanian government in 2006.

How the re-assignment of this area will affect other companies is unknown at this time. For now, here is the list the minister distributed showing which concessions each hunting company has received. This list does not reflect any adjustments from the appeals process. We will have more on this in the next issue of The Hunting Report.

I didn't know 6 year olds could get a PH license.

There are blocks listed (particularly in the Selous) that I've never heard of, and blocks that I know exist that aren't even listed.

Recent sub division of existing blocks and those not listed have not been listed for some 'obscure' reason

Don't know where or what LR-1 and LR-2 may be.

And what of his northern area?

so alot of subleasing in Tanzania and even higher prices or what ? Or how will the new holders get clients so fast ?

Thanks, we hunted with him in the Selous a few years ago...had hoped to go back to his Masai concession. Hopefully he'll pick up something up north.

I too saw blocks that don't exist. MHJ1, MHJ2 & MHJ3 doesn't exist on any map I have. It caught my eye because it has too many characters. Don't recall any of them having 4 characters.

I suspect it is a new subdivided Selous Block and they needed a new name. It's like California license plates, they just keep adding characters.

Or did they "add on" to the Selous?

I'd like to see the new improved specially subdivided and politically correct map they have showing these special new areas.
